I Think you have a wonderful 1967 Rolex Submariner meters first.

If you check the serial number it will be higher than 1.6 million.

In addition you have round crown guards which is consistent with watches post 1964 vs 1961 which would have pointed crown guards.

There is also a wide difference in the value.

In any case it is a stunning matt dial 5513.

Enjoy.

Thanks for the info bill but my serial is 1.5 million :)

I’ve already checked that the day I bought it. Serial is 1,596,xxx which makes it a 1961-62 max. What do you think? Laurent

Here is a good report to read to give a feel based on real examples.

At 1.59 your are In 1967 matt dial is period. Is it your guess at 1961 or the dealer. Follow the link. Please feel free to reach out. Best Bill

Hello Laurent. Nice example of a classic 5513. As it was said here your serial number belongs to the 1967 period. In that year a matt /white inscriptions dial like yours is correct.

For the 1961/62 period you mention the dial was glilt gloss. So your watch is correct for the serial number but made circa 1967, Keep enjoying! Abel,

congratulations Laurent...
