The 16520, the King of Crowns.

Was this the one that changed everything for the Daytona? The first automatic movement, the end of the manual wind. The origin of the hype, the scarcity (due to the limited supply from Zenith), and everything we associate with the Daytona today.
I was a little too young when the 16520 came to market originally. For those of you who were collecting at the time, and aware of its arrival, perhaps you can share some memories.

The 16520 was very hot when it came out. For sure. But I would still argue that the watch that made the Daytona famous was the 6239 PN.
