Thank you for your kind words, GWIS!

I don't want to offend you but I detected in your name the part „WIS“. Since I am afraid I am definitely a „watch idiot savant“ this could be also my nickname. 😊
„G“ stands for „great“?

I find it always funny when people find the Deepsea case as too big with its 44mm. My personal experience is, that this watch fits extremely well on the wrist. And I have a small wrist (16,5 - 17 cm depending on the temperature etc).

The 1st generation (116660) had a too narrow bracelet and so the watch was for me too too-heavy and therefore I passed.

But this second generation (126660) feels just perfect.

Cheers
Thomas

I have just picked one up. It really is epic on the wrist isn’t it! It feels more like an industrial scientific instrument than a wrist watch. And the dial....

Back in 2003 or so, when I found the Purists, there was a lot of talk about “WIS”. I bought my Deepsea recently from a grey dealer and so I took it to an AD today to get it fitted. Once it’s fitted properly it’s really comfortable and not too large at all...

Aaaahhh. Excellent, Jon!

It’s a big watch but it looks so good on and is very comfortable. I like the small date window as a different detail for a Rolex vs the Cyclopes.

Thank you, boxcar, yes

for me the 126660 is just perfect. The 44mm together with the 2nd generation bracelet fit very well. And there are many improvements to its its predecessor by (movement, dial etc). And in times of 47mm Panerais, 45 mm Fifty Fathoms Blancpains etc. it is d...
