Rolex Yacht-Master in Yellow Gold: Even more " Un-Rolex " than any other Yacht-Master.
Apr 16, 2020,04:09 AM
Or let's say than the Yacht-Master in steel / platinum ref 16622.
As you certainly know, the Yacht-Master was introduced in the catalogue in 1992. In yellwo gold, first, then several years after, in 1997 or 1999, in steel and platinum.
Here is a yellow gold specimen I could see in Paris some months ago.
The particularity goes way over the fact that it is a yellow gold sports watch. It is the dial, associated to the case, which makes it look so special and should I add, so cool.
The Black indices and the milky white dial are the details you notice immediately.
But if you have a closer look, you will see the luminous indices, made of tritium, triangle shaped, stuck to the round black dots.
I couldn't take a lume shot, but it would certainly be interesting to see how they glow in the dark!
Here are the pictures, now.
What do you think?
Best,
Nicolas
