A Tropical Red Sub has to be seen in the real, to fully appreciate its dial. It is all about nuances of dark, deep brown. Not easy to notice under some low light conditions. I tried to take a couple of pictures, to show you this dial. This meters first is...

The red sub is definitely an icon in the tool-watches' world. The condition are almost mint and the dial has turned into a very charming brownish colour.

A question: since the dial is a meter first one and the watch is from 1969/1970, what kind of insert is better for the period: the one showed in your pictures, a long 5 or, since we are in a period of transition both are accepted? Thanks for sharing this ...
