I don't know what to think of Rolex. I like the larger cased sports watches, though I am not a fan of the DSSD. I think the larger case works on the MIlgauss because there was no current Milgauss model that it replaced. But on the Datejust and Day Date I simply do not believe the proportions of the larger case work at all. In particular, I find the bezels flat and blunt, and I find the lug width too narrow. On the new Datejust dials, the "maxi" stick markers share the "bluntness" I dislike.

It's a shame. I understand Rolex's move to bigger cases and I don't indict them for it. In fact, I admire them. But I am not a fan of the execution.
