Platinum Rolex v WG Patek
I have noticed that the Rolex Day Date in Platinum, which I think retails for less than the Patek Annual Calendar in White Gold, seems to re-sell for more than the Patek, when both watches are in slightly used condition. Now, I may be naive, but isn't the 5036 movement more sophisiticated than the Rolex Day Date movement? Why do you think the Rolex appears to depreciate less than the Patek? Any ideas or corrections are much appreciated.
