An unusual Rolex Daytona 116520.

P Series, Chronometry Tests. The originality? The dial! Credit pictures: Premium Watches. This one was sold some years ago by Premium Watches. It has been made in year 2000. Do you like it, or is it too unusual for the Daytona lover in you? Best, Nicolas ...

I really like this!

Not really a Daytona fan at all but I LIKE this one. What’s the reference number?

116520 P Series. [nt]

Never seen a Rolex with so few words.

I like this minimalist look.

Me too! [nt]

 By: amanico : October 12th, 2018-01:32

So it never actually hit the market [nt]

I like it but it does look strange without the Rolex coronet at the top.

It’s like looking at a friend who always wears spectacles and has suddenly taken them off. Regards Kev.

😂😂 [nt]

LOL!!! [nt]

 By: amanico : October 12th, 2018-01:59

The next Purist edition ? [nt]

 By: Cpt Scarlet : October 12th, 2018-02:40

there are too less 'paragraphs' in the dial...

 By: mahesh : October 12th, 2018-02:26
just by seeing the picture i almost considered it as a fake Rolex ;-) btw what are those 2 dots below the sub-seconds register ? Best, mahesh.,

I think it's unique. I like it!

 By: i_am_Sam : October 12th, 2018-03:42
And I actually saw one in metal last year Even with a twist Cheers Sam ...

Difficult to answer.

I think we have all been trained to like unusual and rare when it comes to Rolex dials and so while I say I like it I think that’s only beaucse it’s unusual and rare. If this was an actual mass produced dial (even with the logo on the dial) then I think I...

Agreed. [nt]

 By: amanico : October 12th, 2018-05:16

Looks Awful.

My eyes say No No No. Would not get put on my wrist. Thank you for the post though. M.

gorgeous

 By: Gelato Monster : October 12th, 2018-07:05
it is so clean compare to other daytona

Without investment reasoning

 By: Gelato Monster : October 12th, 2018-21:56
I would take this over every Daytona. Pre Daytona chronos and Paul Newman on the other hand are in totally different league of gorgeousness and investment game

Doesn't look right. I don't like it.

Best, Volker

Not my cup of Daytona. [nt]

Fascinating, but

 By: ctzn : October 12th, 2018-08:15
a little too sterile, looks like it was taken out of the oven a bit too early.

He he... Good analogy! [nt]

 By: amanico : October 12th, 2018-09:11

I really like this

 By: colinfredericwillsher1 : October 12th, 2018-08:39
A Rolex for people who want a less obvious version?

Never went to the market.

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : October 12th, 2018-08:47
Maybe it is even a fake? I don’t know (as Rolex never comments). Anyway this has never been produced for consumers.

Proto, indeed. [nt]

 By: amanico : October 12th, 2018-09:10

Ahh... No wonder...

 By: JFT : October 12th, 2018-09:17
I've seen this kind of dial in many movement in school...except for the 1861 training movement from wostep, the dial was black and very similar with speedy.

Exactly AFAIK [nt]

For me

 By: MTR : October 13th, 2018-00:36
with the Rolex Logo it would be perfect. So the dial is unconventional clean but feels somewhat empty. Best Thomas
