Oups. The myth is almost dead

never think this could ever happen. Just bought a brand new simple 114200 for my wife and the watch lost maybe one or two minutes per day. We go straight to the AD.


Do you ever experienced this thing?

magnetism usually causes a watch to run faster, not slower. This happens because the coils of the haispring are closer than normal causing them to touch and "shorten" the effective length of the spring. Losing time could be a different issue. Hopefully th... 

I always keep in mind that a mechanical watch is... a living machine. And so, like a human, sometimes it has little health problems (palpitations, throat clearing...) ;-)

If a watch is magnetized, it will run faster. If it runs slower, problem is different. I had experimented that in several brands, and in all cases problem...

... was that the watch I was buying had been resting in the shop´s vault for so long that oils had dried. All the watch required was cleaning and oiling under warranty. It specially happens with some brands/models which are not so popular so they are slow...
