Insert should need only pressure no glue for sure.
Depending on how tight the bezel is on the watch. You have to remove the bezel and insert as one unit. Once removed you can then separate the insert from the bezel and replace the insert. At that time reattach the bezel to the watch. You may need some too...

Witch year is? Was the bronze insert available originally for the steel watch? It looks great but I alway thought it was for the 2 tone 1675, anyway great watch, congratulation!
Brown insert was never offered New on the watch.
But it was a Rolex insert for the two tone so they could be a choice for the owner later. In addition the period correct or older would have silver gold text vs yellow gold. These would be on the older brother gold gmt 1675. ...
