Even with a new alloy, 92.5% of the metal is still silver, so it was aways going to show some level of oxidising. Same thing with the BB58 bronze.
These alloys have the appeal of novelty, and they look pretty nice, but as far as physical properties are concerned, they are vastly inferior to 316L or 904L stainless steel for watch making.
In the case of the silver BB58, my primary concern would not even be oxidation, it would be scratches, as this alloy is necessarily (much) softer than stainless steel. I would consider it on a dress watch, but probably not on a sports watch intended to be a daily wearer.
