I owned the 116520 black dial until fairly recently. I just bought a 116500 white dial. Here’s what I’d say about my very subjective comparisons. I prefer the ceramic bezel to the metal one for white dial Daytonas, both because the black perimeter presents a sharp contrast to the dial and because ceramic is essentially unscratchable. I also prefer the white dial to the black dial, mainly because of legibility issues and because the white on the 116500 is very very nice (all extremely subjective). And I prefer the white dial on the 116500 to the white dial on the 116520 mainly because black looks sharper on the subdials than tan. Nicolas’s 16520 has black-bounded subdials too, plus that incalculable je ne sais pas that comes with a vintage Zenith movement. Finally, I much prefer a white metal to an all-yellow-gold one, which I could never pull off — but then I’m no John Mayer.
