I agree with preferring this to the new version.
Originals are usually preferable. The fact that it was the 50th anniversary model to celebrate the incredibly important Submariner says a lot in my opinion.
I was fortunate enough to get one of the first into the UK and like you don’t wear it anyway near enough. I will change that.
