James Bond in Milan - Part II: A visit to Roberto

Nov 03, 2014,02:02 AM

A vintage Rolex collector cannot visit Milan without dropping by Roberto, one of the most famous watch dealer and expert in Italy.

He gave me the opportunity to admire some remarkable timepieces that I want to share with you.

Let me say that the following watches are not for sale, so I'm not advertising for anything here....just admiring some very rare pieces shown by a friend ;-)

For instance, here's a remarkable Argentinian military Tudor 7924:

and another one with pointed crown guards:

Let's have a look at those casebacks:

Here a stunning gilt 1975 with a tropical dial:

A Girard Peregaux Type 20:

A 1680/8 with tropical blue dial:

A 6240 with brown subdials:

A waterproof Longines chronograph from the 1940's:

A group shot:

Roberto's famous oversize Omega 30t2, sitting on his wrist for the past two years:

And finally, the pirat in his lair !

...we discussed a lot about the military Tudor, but also about the early Omega Ploprof that we both love.
