A quick search on the WWW gave me one on a leather band on Ebay for 5800 pounds sterling which was on a leather strap, so yours will have a higher value. Another one with box and papers with identical bracelet like yours was on same site for USD6950. Good... 

Keep it...Rolex don't make these anymore, just like their calendar Padellone watches.

That being said, memory and sentimental value is hard to assess. It depends on what you will do with it in future.

I would say just keep it and forget about it for some years it will definitely appreciate with time. Just like other older models
