I eat my words..

I’m not sure what got into me but this came from out of nowhere and shot straight up to my want list and on to my wrist. I wrote my thoughts about this watch as a reply to Nico’s 116900 post, how it’s cool but how it’s not for me, blah blah, blah.. And yet here I am, happy as a clam.

It was not easy tracking one down. The crazy tide of insanity that is the law of Rolex supply and demand managed to lift almost all boats including innocent bystanders like the AirKing and even that watch-next-door, the DJ36. Well, at least in my neck of the woods, one would be hard pressed to find anything “wearable” in the retail shops.

I had a back and forth with our ever patient Nico to which he admonished.. “Never give in to premiums!”

What a horological battle cry, eh?

Anyway, Luckily I was able to spot one through a friend flying back home from Taiwan via HK. He had a dealer cousin there. Calls were made. And from one dealer to another, A viber message came with a photo and a quote. The rest as they say is history.
