Rolex

Hello dear Mooritz: I agree with your points. It is difficult to say if and which of present production of Rolex models will ...

... became collective or classics as it happens today with models made about 40 to 60 years ago. Only Time will show.

Also agree with you regarding the 50 Years Green Bezel Sub. But we should remember that adding to the charming characteristics you mention it also had the bezel and case proportions/size of the classic vintage Submariners to add to the attractiveness of that model.

By the other hand I regret so much the present trend to bigger and bigger watches and that Rolex follows the trend, but as I said in my previous post, I understand they wish to please and satisfy a larger portion of market that the collectors represent.

In any case, I repeat that the present 50 Years SD is a superb watch, and I´m willing to give another try and decide if I´ll buy it or not. As you know, I´m an old fan of the brand and collecto both vintage and new Rolex, and the red inscription on the new SD keeps haunting me since I view it photographs for first time.

Thank you for sharing your view, and I send you my best cordial regards.
Abel
