Rolex

Having changed more than a few hands, I’m in the “function not fashion” camp

I don’t know how many times pulling & replacing hands can be done safely. I do have a “hand opening adjuster/clamp tool” to snug down an overly-loose pipe but I’d rather not do it if I don’t have to.

Since watches like this rarely get opened and serviced, I’d guess Rolex over the decades has developed a service / replacement philosophy that makes the most sense to them… the cost of a set of hands is negligible compared to getting the watch back for cosmetic or functional warranty claims (hands slipping or falling off).
