......the so-called pecking order is only something that really manifests itself in prices. On this forum, the love for the Explorer is huge. It gets its love here...for sure. But yes, money creates a market-pecking-order...and in that sense I agree with what you said yesterday....in that sense it can be quantitatively assessed. Yet, for the individual or specific collector, such quantification is irrelevant.


If Connery had worn an Explorer 1....and that was the Bond-Watch, then yes it would be more sought after. But would the Submariner STILL be more desirable?
