Hi Dan,
Rarely see Military Explorer in this forum as they are earlier than the famous Mil Sub.
I even don't know that this model exists until I found one cos it is rare so I decide to post a picture here to share.
Military explorers have some dial variants, and the sample shows here is very unique since all the markers and minute track color match perfectly with the circle T. The Rolex crown logo is the early design and it looks like a brush to me.
The handset is also unique too and the sweeping second hand has bigger size lollipops than the later models.
This military Explorer also retained the bubble back structure and I think it has the perfect dimension for this model.

I know a little bit about military watches although not as much about Issued Rolex. You should consider posting over at MWR. A bunch of grumpy and very knowledgeable folks (some of whom also post here too ) when it comes to military watches. Amazing watch...
