AD are sometimes not very careful .... 


I also had a bad experience with the bracelet of my SD 116600.

During the size ajustement of the bracelet, a first AD put too much threadlock and blocked the link ... 

The second  destroyed my screw and scratched my bracelet!

I had the link and screw changed, all taken care of by Rolex because in addition the second AD accused me of having caused the damage myself...

More often than not I've had Rolexes coming from service with additional scratches on the caseback, lugs, or bracelet. Generally these seem to have come either from opening the caseback or from removing/putting back the bracelet (which both are generally ...

The polishing took the shine off the gold leaving it dull. I suppose anything can happen during servicing. Some argue to send a watch for serving only if it needs repairs. I'm coming up on a five year recommended manufacturer's service period and am undec...

I tend to differentiate. Rolex and other robust watches only if they need repair, watches with more delicate and/or complex movements according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Oh dear, I had already forgotten about the scratches. 😂

What shall I say. It sucks but it’s only a Rolex and not a PM Patek.
