Yacht Master 42 WG: Day-Date WG olive green dial: Cheers! 🍻 ...  

I was left a little flat by the DD in that combo...it just didn't "pop" as much as I wanted. That YM however, I thought was pretty cool. But takes are subjective so...curious to read your impressions. Cheers

Mine was different to yours: - the DD pleasantly surprised me as one that I could perfectly wear daily, which was totally unexpected; - the YM left me flat on the other hand, maybe my expectations were set too high Thanks for posting your impressions!

In photos I thought it was one of the coolest things I’d ever seen, but when I actually tried one on it just didn’t do it for me. Maybe it’d be a grower, and I’m sure it benefits from natural light, but something about it felt a little flat

I always loved the RG YM though, and I was expecting to feel something for the WG, but was not the case.

a yellow gold bezel would really help the dial pop more.

But I'm not a two-tone guy.

Before Christmas I tried the WG Day Date with the blue dial / Roman numerals, it was a stunning looking piece. However I left with the YM WG 42mm, for me it doesn't shout, it is deceptive, so under the radar and it gets worn to the detriment of other nice...  

But maybe I was expecting to feel something else for the WG, which has not happened. I still prefer the color and size of mine (fortunately for me 😛). It's good to have choices! And I have a smaller wrist, yours looks great on you, enjoy it!

I’m a little undecided on it however, the WG/Green is maybe not as impressive in the metal as the RG/Green. But the latter is for many of us less wearable day to day.

And a bit different to the more conventional blue, black or white options. It's a pity that my wallet does not agree with me 😭

Versus the blue, black etc I agree, this dial offers something different. And perhaps to turn what I originally said around a little, against the WG dial that dial while different doesn’t shout as loud at may do on the RG case and so as you say, it’s a da... 

I could definitely wear the WG daily, but never ther RG (it's just me)

I cannot say the same about the 41 Datejust though. I do love the 36mm as well, but have to admit that it feels a hair small on my wrist. On the other hand, my father wears one regularly and the fit is perfect. So it all depends... 😉

... and is it just me or do the indexes on the YM look enormous?

I'm not sure, but I guess they are bigger, as is the dial. I do prefer the proportions of the 40.

It is definitively THE watch for EVERY occasion. If you want your problem to be solved, take both

But taking both is not an option here, as I don't really want the YM. And I cannot stop thinking about the DD .. 😱
