In my opinion, here, given the price of a bakelite insert and th fact that the dial is a superb service dial, I would go for a nice faded aluminum insert. And a new set of hands. It will be a marvel.

A very nice set.
Finding a bakelite insert is a tough job putting aside the fact that it will cost a pretty penny. Faded insert is a great alternative.
