There are so many factors, so many things we are still discovering about our dear vintage watches, Rolex or not, which should lead us to a certain prudence and a big humility.
I tried to dig the topic of radioactivity, I gave up. Ok, there are some important dates such as the 1960 AEC rules, and the 1961 reglementation.
But things moved, I think a bit before, for some Watch manufacturers. Not, as you said it very well, for everybody, as dial and hands manufacturers still used Radium.
Which type of radium? Excellent question.
Seriously, the article is superbly written, the demonstration of the limits of our knoweldge is excellently proven.
Bravo.
