A watch that we don’t see enough of. I’ve always loved the Exp II.

How many lovers do we have here and why is this watch slightly undervalued and under appreciated do we think ??? M. ...

Very nice watch. Wonderful picture. 👍

It's a great tool watch in my eyes. Just didn't buy one. Perhaps in the future. Tfs. 😊 Cheers. 🍻 Geross

Thank you.

Yes what I call an original tool watch also. In line with the original submariner/sea-dweller and Milgauss. A must have for the Cave dweller Explorer who might not know if it’s day or night hundreds of feet above them. With its 70’s retro styling I have j...

One of the greatest

Such a special reference!

Happy to hear you think that.

What about it makes you feel like that? M.

Its screamin unique

From a design point of view this is the most unique rolex, especially the dial. The quirky look is still a reason why it is underrated i think..

Thank you Jack.

...

Yes another un appreciated version.

 By: Miles_151 : October 4th, 2020-06:27
How many times has it been serviced in that time out of interest ?? M.

Count me in!

Two reasons to explain its " under appreciation "... 1st it is an " Un Rolex " Rolex. Very strong design but off the beaten paths. 2d, it is a 24 hours watch, not a GMT. But the first point is the reason why I love it so much! Best, Nicolas ...

Thanks Nico.

I get your drift. You are right it was so un Rolex and different. That’s possibly why I love to also. It’s just always screamed vintage to me which is interesting. M.

We need to wait for more tropical dial 1655’s to surface.

 By: Miles_151 : October 4th, 2020-06:37
That will be a game changer 😉😉😉😉🙈 M.

Maybe.

M.

I can’t decide whether the dial is from the future or the past.

 By: Nicetomeetyou : October 4th, 2020-08:34
Maybe that is why I like it.

Know what you mean.

 By: Miles_151 : October 4th, 2020-09:18
Could be either easily. M.

1655 amazing watch

One question I couldn’t find an answer to Why is it associated with Steve McQueen although I haven’t seen a single pic of him wearing it

No picture of him wearing one has ever been seen.

 By: Miles_151 : October 4th, 2020-09:45
As far as I know that is. He was always pictured in his submariner. M.

It's probably my favourite vintage reference! The dial markers combined with the 24 hour hand give it such a cool purposeful look. The round markers changed entirely the feel of the watch...

it's striking how a small difference had this result. Maybe the market is more forgiving of patina and aging on the aluminum insert references than faded or scratched away 24 hour steel bezel indicators? I've often considered getting one but am not to wel...

It’s gorgeous

Absolutely awesome!

I love this watch !!

 By: leopold : October 4th, 2020-11:49
Why ? I don't know , it's a question of emotion and feeling , as with all my watches ... Nothing is rational .. ...

Lovely example.
