To have this one on the left wrist, and your 6542 on the right, that'd be a killer day :-)

Haven’t posted this for a while, and there are not nearly enough Explorer posts lately. What are you guys wearing today? Best, Daniel ...

Funny coincidence. I am wearing its older sister, today.

 By: mrds : January 26th, 2022-16:22

Really digging the explorers of late

 By: Mr.Gatsby : January 26th, 2022-17:23
Wearing the modern in 36mm. Best Gatsby ...

I Appreciate the Explorer

 By: baufoam : January 26th, 2022-18:04
It has taken me quite a while to understand and fully embrace what ( I think) the Explorer is all about. It’s a simple , easy to read, very durable watch with undeniable elegance. I am wearing one of the modern ones at 36mm and I love it. Somehow I feel s...

We are in the same camp.

 By: Mr.Gatsby : January 26th, 2022-18:09
36mm but with upgraded specs (bracelet, clasp, movement etc) just makes it a sports classic. I tend to think the subs etc that are >36mm are modern sports watches . Best Gatsby

So where do you put this 6536/1?

 By: mrds : January 26th, 2022-20:15
A Sub at 37mm. Sports classic, or modern sports? ...

Ooooof, beautiful!

 By: amanico : January 26th, 2022-21:46

Absolutely!

 By: mrds : January 27th, 2022-09:36

Haha

 By: Mr.Gatsby : January 27th, 2022-02:25
Definitely sports classic for me. But this is personal. I find smaller sizes more classic.

It's my favorite Sub, and my favorite Rollie.

 By: mrds : January 27th, 2022-08:30
I find it very easy to wear, in all kinds of settings. Never bling, never in-your-face, distinctive, but still unmistakably a Submariner. Well, maybe that's for a separate thread...

I fully agree.

 By: mrds : January 26th, 2022-20:11
I like the Explorers (and DJs) at 36mm, it's all you really need. Your pic is a nice prove of this fact! Thanks for sharing.

I agree :-)

 By: Mr.Gatsby : January 26th, 2022-18:17
Fast becoming my favorite reference. Gatsby

I had to bring this out from the safe tonight

 By: Mr.Gatsby : January 26th, 2022-18:43
Just to return the favor (pic). Daniel has inspired me to re-explore my feelings for my 1016. Last post with one last photo before I hit the sack: Goodnight. Best Gatsby ...

Excellent 1016, my friend!!

 By: mrds : January 26th, 2022-20:07
I love how you captured the warm light in this shot. Looks a ton of class!

Thank you Daniel :-)

 By: Mr.Gatsby : January 27th, 2022-14:06
It’s a little beat up though

Part of the charm of a vintage, no?

 By: mrds : January 27th, 2022-15:57
I think it has a great presence as it is.

Damn gorgeous, this one!

 By: amanico : January 26th, 2022-21:40

Merci Mon Ami

 By: Mr.Gatsby : January 27th, 2022-14:08
I bought it for the dial, didn’t have a choice with the case which is a bit weathered.

I can understand that.

 By: mrds : January 26th, 2022-20:09
For me, it's Sub, then Explorer, then GMT. For no particular reason, it's just how I emotionally connect to these icons. But let's face it, each and every one of them is a true masterpiece in ins own right.

For me too.

 By: amanico : January 26th, 2022-21:47

Exactly!

 By: mrds : January 26th, 2022-20:10

Love the Explorer 1 and the love keeps getting stronger!

 By: D-TIME1 : January 26th, 2022-20:18
Fingers crossed hopefully I will get a new one! Bit these vintage ones shared on this site are incredible. Thank you all for the motivation!! -D-
