I fell for this “boring” one. Just as I like it. It’s very Zen! ...

Thank you 🙏 I agree. Its VERY “undr the radar” when you see it on the wrist.

I would not be insulted if some find it boring.

I like it as well. +1 [nt]

Thank you Muppet!

I like your name BTW

So true.

This is as “no nonsense” as a Rolex will ever get. It makes a great pair with my modern Explorer 1. Both are 39 mm and according to my wrist, the perfect proportions.

Funny you mention the Explorer...

I too have a 39 mm Explorer and have been thinking of adding a 39 mm white OP to make it a semi-matching pair.😉

LOL. Great minds Think alike 😁👍

I was never so fond of the OPs but when I saw this I became intrigued by the very simple expression. It’s not as legible as the very tool like Explorer 1 (I just love that watch so much) but it has a calm beauty. I imagine it would look even better with a...

Haha. True. But I love that game....

 By: ChristianDK : October 26th, 2020-13:10
Although I also love Rolex Oyster bracelets. I will definitely play that game with this one.

The best Rolex white dial I’ve seen, bought both the 34 and 36 and couldn’t be happier 🙂

As you said, very zen. But also very attractive. Reminds me of the expression “modest is hottest” 👍

Great Picks

I think the dials of the 34 and 36 are even more beautiful. I just personally prefer the 39 mm size more because I have a big wrist.

Cool! Bravo, mon ami. [nt]

Hehe. I like it. [nt]

Great choice, Christian!

I just picked one up as well, and for the exact same reasons. It’s a great go anywhere, do anything, time-only piece that flies under the radar.

yes - thats a perfect description.

 By: ChristianDK : October 27th, 2020-11:50
Its great isnt it. If you look closer it has an intrieguing aesthetic quality.

Exactly Fab!

 By: ChristianDK : October 27th, 2020-11:52
this one is reduced to the absolute basic rolex design cues. I suspect less is more in this case. I bet it will still be beautiful in 50 years.

Easily one and done

Enjoy your newest boring wristwatch. Mine has been boring me since June 2020! ...

thank you :-) Wow - I love your picture. It certainly doesnt make it worse with a nice tan like yours..

 By: ChristianDK : October 27th, 2020-11:54
Congratulations. Ive had mine for a few weeks now. It feels like a keeper for the long run,

Well my friend, simple is beautiful! [nt]

thank you, Alberti.

Yes the dial is really handsome on closer inspection. Its easy to overlook from a few meters but thats a good quality as well

Thank you so much, Sir :-)

So is more for the long haul. However, im pretty sure some will just see "Less".

No that is so true

 By: ChristianDK : October 27th, 2020-12:00
I suspect it has to do with the new size. The stron colors have certainly made quite a marketing impact. Lets see if the black and white will be back in a few years. I just jumped on it as i consider the 39mm PERFECT for me.

Hehe. Great isnt it ;-) [nt]
