I would have thought, prior to seeing it, that it was a terrible idea. But, to my surprise, I found it pretty appealing.
Not as appealing as the full steel version, of course. But not bad!

AD called and just received the new Explorer 1 steel and yellow gold. I looked at it and I am on the fence about it.
As am I. I think the two tone
somewhat diminishes the allure of the Explorer. The Explorer is a watch that should be only all stainless, IMHO.
Hmmm....is AD calling you because he's doing you a "favor" by "bestowing" this watch to you....
or it's something not that popular he had to call around? I'm not a big fan of 2-tone, but only exception is the root beer because my boss like it. ...

However,your photo of it seems quite appealing----guess would have to see it in the metal to have a definite opinion. Thanks for showing it
