My head has exploded a little when I saw this OEM one-off for top sailor Sir Ben Ainslie If only the Crown could decide to release this! ...

And the wait list begins again...

What's the difference if they did or didn't?

You wouldn't be able to get one, anyway. Just pretend they did and that you are on the wait list for it.

That hurts a little

I did a search on "yachtmaster", which did not return much. Should have tried "titanium"

After the positive experience I’ve had with the YM42 I would definitely buy this Ti version of they make it a regular production piece.

Great case shape and dimensions, and a pleasure to wear on the Oysterflex bracelet with Glidelock clasp. ...

I have a feeling it is gamma titanium

Was watching youtube videos on this alloy. It is pretty cool. The colour of this alloy called titanium aluminide looks a little dark too.

On a nerdier side of things

I suspect the titanium they use is not a usual grade. There is tegimented titanium, which increases the surface strength, and there are other methods of creating stronger titanium, such as age-hardening, or other novel methods of manipulating the microstr...

It is RLX titanium! I suspect they will keep their recipe secret for a while

An AD I talked to seemed confident this model could be produced in the future... interesting

someone will unravel it

I bet there are a few material engineers here with access to PMI technology which can determine the composition of alloys.=D

at 41-42mm, it is on the larger side for me

But reminds me of the IWC Aquatimer 3536, which I miss a lot

Ah yes, I can see that 😉👍
