Sorry, not an expert, but I used to dive with a red light strobe in one hand and camera and housing equipment in another. The red light strobe was to compensate for the loss of red colour at depth. Modern cameras have a setting for this so you don't need the red light strobe anymore. But anyway, I suspect dive watches would, or should not use red for this reason.  Anyway, it does look cool. Always like a hint of colour.

I'm inclined to think the original "disappearing" nature of the seconds hand was deliberate. In a tool watch like the DSSD, there's probably a functional reason for it. I cannot recall the last time I needed to read the seconds; let alone taking into acco...

I did the same to a second hand watch. I was shocked at how customers loved it, but those connected to Rolex chastise and attempt to intimidate customers for doing what they want to their Rolex. Did you ask your AD what he/she thinks of it? I love it!
