I do think it’s an important watch in the sense that it’s the first and only platinum sports/professional watch Rolex has ever made (I think)

and put diamonds on the dials it went from a tool watch to a rich man's bauble. Don't get me wrong, it's very pretty, but it's sort of frivolous imho.

if I had huge $ I might even buy one and put it in a fifty-watch rotation. But the diamonds take it out of the tool watch category as far as I’m concerned...but that might just be me.
