I don't know if I am following your footsteps, or you, mine! I have bought and sold and bought and sold, tweaking my collection. Sometimes tweaking over years, months, or days, depending on my whims. I guess it's all a part of this "hobby" (or obsession).... 

I used to have to give watches away again and again. Most of the time, however, it were the pieces that I couldn't really bond with. Why? Because, deep down, they didn't fit for me. In the past, I often turned a blind eye to the selection and made comprom...

Yes, the old DD 36 was very special. It was also in WG and had not the typical fluted bezel which made the whole watch not too offensive. It was a wonderful piece I wore almost a decade “day and night”. But somehow I got the feeling it was too small for m...  

This DD is a real gem! I just sold my first watch this week so who knows where this journey will lead to.

The Minute Repeater is definitely very nice. One of the louder governors and slower repeaters I've met. I had a rose gold example that took around 25-27 seconds to do the full 12:59 sequence. But still a very charming piece.

My own and only Patek so far. And gone… I just couldn’t live with this white date window. It made me … nervous. But I am „special“ in that regard, I know 😁 IWC MR: I heard about these problems. Perhaps they were in the 1st generation? I own the second gen...

In this dial version you mentioned, the three white date windows bother me less, since the counter is also white. So it is a harmonious design for me. But these date window variants - for example - really warm my heart: Terrible, what are we doing here???...

Many feel 36mm may be a tad small for today’s tastes. Your larger DD looks fabulous in its own way.

For many enthusiasts (and for almost all of us for a rather long time), a case size of 36 mm was / still is ideal, for others it is not. I personally feel much more comfortable with 40 mm.

I hope that we will write to each other for a long time. And hopefully meet for a Negroni one day, my friend. Therefore I must try to increase your resilience. Kind of like heart training. 😁🙏 Sorry for the wrong forum. ...
