I bought my white dial on eBay about 6 months ago.....for $5,400.... lucky me. Bought the black dial around the same time on chrono24 for same price. Double lucky. They are harder to find for a decent price now. Hold on to them and enjoy! ...
I understand FabR and thank you for the reminder that one of the most appreciated aspects, for me, of this forum is that there aren't endless speculation threads that litter the watch forum landscape.
That said, rarity and desirability vis a vis their relation to market realities are part and parcel of watch collecting. Thanks for the thanks and your thumbs up for one of my favourites.
Sounds good. I mentioned this since part of your post and then a reply were focused on specific market values and current prices, which as I said we want to avoid.
All the rest is good; rarity and desirability (which can be also discussed without debating specific figures) are actually very interesting aspects of this hobby👍Cheers.

Perhaps I should clarify the point of the thread. This has nothing to do with your, pejorative sounding, conclusion about people feeling blessed to buy something others have told them is hard to get.
