At least my road eventually led to Rolex

I chose a simple 39mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual as my first wristwatch from The Crown. Close to six years of flipping lower and mid tier brands to include Swiss, German, and Japanese, my buying and selling slowed tremendously over the last 2 years with basically exploring Grand Seiko to the point of owning a total of 5. I finally made up my mind to move away from the Grand Seiko brand and multiple ownership to acquire a simple classic Rolex Oyster Perpetual. Initially I was charmed by the 34mm OP with the Olive Green dial and came ohhhhh so close to owning it. After several tries on at a local AD I finally decided that the 34mm size just wasn't going to work despite my penchant for the Olive Green color which I found so beautiful.
After a brief flirtation with the idea of a Datejust 41mm I decided that even more minimalism and simplicity was in order. With that in mind and realizing that the 41mm Datejust was closer to a better fit on my 7.25" wrist than the unisex 34mm, I arrived at the idea of the 2018 Baselworld novelty, the 39mm Oyster Perpetual White dial. It arrived today and I was very pleased from the moment I first viewed it. Wristwatches have been a fun diversion and source of joy for me especially since October of 2014 when my journey began. I know it has been said many times before but I frankly think I could easily wear this Rolex exclusively from now on and close this delightful chapter(s) in my life.
