Tudor Pelagos Marine Nationale. Here it is.

 By: amanico : November 10th, 2021-16:27
42 mm Titanium case, 12, 75 mm high. In house automatic movement with a power reserve of 70 hours. And the good news: It is not, if I got it well, a limited edition. On a blue nylon strap. What do you think? Best, Nicolas ...

Sold!

 By: blau : November 10th, 2021-16:29

The non-limited edition situation helps

 By: blau : November 10th, 2021-17:25
Though I just talked to friend at an AD and she was less encouraging than I'm used to from her! So initial production might not be so large.

A matter of time, me think.

 By: amanico : November 10th, 2021-17:31

LOL!

 By: MichaelC : November 17th, 2021-12:26

I couldn't resist. ;)

I’m torn

 By: Cookies : November 10th, 2021-16:38
I love the lugs. Solid integrated lugs - this is the most assuring configuration. Yet, the gripe is the 200m WR, and the BIdirectional retrograde bezel. Would I get one? I really really don’t know. The lugs are beautiful. It did not evoke the instant “fin...

+1.

 By: Lankysudanese : November 10th, 2021-18:32
Maybe in 40mm and Grade 23 titanium. That’s what I’m holding out for

🤣🤣🤣

 By: Lankysudanese : November 10th, 2021-18:54

:)))

 By: amanico : November 10th, 2021-19:13

Can you name some?

 By: @lberti : November 23rd, 2021-22:40
Longines (Big Eye)? Longines (Legend Diver No Date)? Omega Speedmaster CK2998 Black / White and/or Blue / White? Rolex Explorer 1 36mm? This is what came to my mind.....

From the last 5 years, the LLD no date cannot compete as it is much older. The Omega 2998 is certainly one of them, the Tribute Reverso Duo in steel ( 2016 ), the Rolex Deep See Dweller James Cameron and the GMT Master Meteorite...

 By: amanico : November 24th, 2021-11:03
The Omega Seamaster 1948, Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso Tribute Gyroturbillon / MGT Celestial Tourbillon / Gyro 5 in a dream category, the LF Classic Opaline, the Panerai PAM 662... And a very few others.

Agreed! But, the biggest disappointment is the value as compared to the original...

By: India Whiskey Charlie : November 10th, 2021-20:17
$3900 vs. $4575. The original is a lot more watch for the money. ...

I get your point here.... However.....

 By: @lberti : November 23rd, 2021-22:34
They say that the Alfa Romeo 4C is the successor of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale! Imagine that!!!!! I love the Stradala, i would hang a poster on every room of that masterpiece.... But then, on the other hand, if you have tried the 4C, you understand what T...

Square endlinks

 By: Jakub M : November 10th, 2021-16:50
Not sure what to call it but I hate the square shape of the "endlink", kills the watch for me...

To be seen in the real...

 By: amanico : November 10th, 2021-17:31

Any info about MSRP, or grade of titanium used, Nico.

 By: Lankysudanese : November 10th, 2021-18:35
Is it the same movement as the regular pelagos, just sans the date? I’m not a Tudor guy, but figured these would be good questions to ask.

👍🏿

 By: Lankysudanese : November 10th, 2021-18:55

I

 By: Drek : November 10th, 2021-18:42
like that Tudor have tried something different with the lugs that I can see actually has a purpose to make the watch tougher, thus supporting its tool watch ethos. Whilst I won’t be jumping from a helicopter in dive gear (per the video on the Tudor site),...

You are too kind.

 By: amanico : November 10th, 2021-21:27

Bi directional bezel on a diving watch ?!?!

 By: Rascal : November 10th, 2021-19:09
😐 Anyway I hate nato and I rather get a left pélagos . And anyway the 79090 looks way better 🤓

Not bad!

 By: Johnny. : November 10th, 2021-19:45
Love the no date, and the colour. It must be a very comfortable (light) and legible, but as always will have to see it in real. Could also look good on a nice leather Nato for day to day use.

Not for me. Reasons...

 By: chronos-lorien : November 10th, 2021-20:24
1. The integrated lugs design is not smart move since: - Increases actual thickness of the watch for the thickness of a nato/rubber strap, - Not flexible for a strap variation - Bulky appearance of the watch - no bracelet option 2. The bezel looks very st...

😍😍😍

 By: Mary Anny : November 10th, 2021-20:34
And the crown, it's back!!!!

Grazie, Simone.

 By: amanico : November 10th, 2021-21:30

What I don't get is?

 By: Mary Anny : November 11th, 2021-11:38
Is that a model for the Marine Nationale French Army? If it is so? Why is it being sold to civilians? If it is not? Why the watches are marked with an apparently military code at the back? What does it represent? Anyway, I love the video from Tudor with t...

Now I see that M.N. 21 means Marine Nationale (20)21.

 By: Mary Anny : November 11th, 2021-14:31
No military code then! But a commemorative model, for sure...

Yep!

 By: amanico : November 11th, 2021-19:11

Mixed feelings

 By: Mr.Gatsby : November 11th, 2021-06:26
Great dial and bezel design. Do not like the lugs. Also find that at 42mm a lot of folks with smaller wrists like myself can’t wear. If this was 38-39mm it would’ve been perfect. The vintage case sizing is the best. Deviation from such a size means it wil...

Every complaint I've read about this watch is music to my ears!

 By: blau : November 11th, 2021-11:31
I'm immediately charmed by this watch and want one... and very much hoping it's a sales dud so that I can get one easily!

Yeah, I should probably try to chill out a little.

 By: blau : November 11th, 2021-12:04
It will certainly be gettable with just a *little* patience on my part.

👍

 By: brauner : November 11th, 2021-16:31

Wait...so this watch can only worn with nato? I don't get it

 By: hoseachandra : November 11th, 2021-12:17
Many brands already forced us to use proprietary bracelet/strap, even an integrated bracelet. But to force us only use nato is simply too much. Shame because the dial and bezel looks quite good, and the no-date thing is a plus. I dislike nato, and no matt...

I like the Tudor Pelagos and I like this new one most.

 By: brauner : November 11th, 2021-16:44
No valve, no date, simple dial, simple strap everyone can change without any risk, 70 hrs power reserve, reasonable price. Perfect for holidays and travel. Ordered one.

Great for you, my friend.

 By: amanico : November 11th, 2021-19:04

I'm with you!

 By: blau : November 11th, 2021-20:11

I’m undecided.

 By: Miles_151 : November 12th, 2021-08:56
And with all other Tudors I’ve bought I’ve known straight away. Thanks Nico for the great pictures as always. M.

That’s how good I think you are 😜

 By: Miles_151 : November 12th, 2021-09:09
Look forward to seeing your pictures. M.

I was trying not to be negative.

 By: Miles_151 : November 12th, 2021-09:10
Not for me. M.

I know. Same here.

 By: amanico : November 12th, 2021-09:28

I am not the majority here but I like it

 By: VinnieD : November 12th, 2021-14:10
but I like it. Indeed, it is not perfect but lots that I like: - fixed lugs; different and safer - darker shade of blue; classy - no date of course - thinner - the bezel which has deeper notches and is wider than the case; convenient Where I have some res...

not forgetting the engraving

 By: VinnieD : November 12th, 2021-16:52
which is quite tasteful and historically relevant

Thanks Vinnie. This post really speaks out from my heart as well.... The bezel is slightly outside the case (bigger) and for one single purpose: Better grip with gloves!

 By: @lberti : November 23rd, 2021-22:47
Its clearly a tool watch! Reminds me a little bit of the PLOPROF and DEEPSEA DEEPBLUE: They are ugly on the surface but damn beautiful down there!

AD said he has an allocation of 1 for MN 21.

 By: jonrus : November 16th, 2021-13:49
All the models will have MN 22 moving forward. I read that each AD will get one MN 21 this year. If this is accurate, how many Tudor AD’s are there? This will roughly indicate how many MN 21 were made for the new release.

Not to forget…

 By: Ludi : November 16th, 2021-18:59
… the special delivery for French Navy personnel. End of order is due on December 15th. Delivery on April 2022 though. Anyway I expect them (and mine) to be MN21 but can’t be 100% sure at this stage (?)

What we do know….

 By: Ludi : November 16th, 2021-19:04
… each batch on limited number, if your order can’t be fullfilled on a peculiar batch, then you have priority for the next one (except for the last round obviously) ...

Wow!

 By: jonrus : November 16th, 2021-20:29
I wasn’t aware that the French Navy will also receive this watch. It seems that there’s 150 Tudor AD, so perhaps 150 MN 21, without counting the French Navy allocation.

Reasonable assertion.

 By: amanico : November 16th, 2021-20:42

Not issued actually…

 By: Ludi : November 17th, 2021-04:41
… but sold to the French Navy personnel at a special price. How many watches I don’t know though.

Thanks, mon ami.

 By: amanico : November 17th, 2021-06:11

Approximately 300 total MN21.

 By: jonrus : November 25th, 2021-13:34
150 for the 150 AD, and 150 military. That’s a really low number!

We’ve just had additional details…

 By: Ludi : November 25th, 2021-05:30
… 150 watches will be delivered within the first batch, both are M.N.21. Allocation is nearly complete Afterwards, M.N.22 only

Hello dear Nicolas! It is an interesting watch. Most interesting thing for me as a collector is being able to own exactly same watch it will be currently be worn by MN personnel.

 By: Subexplorer : November 16th, 2021-19:50
For this reason alone I would be interested in getting mine, and I don´t have any problem if my watch would be marked MN 22 on its back as most of the real military watches will have that marking. I like very much the case back markings by the way. In res...

Some beautiful examples you share here dear Nicolas. Indeed they had the "right" blue color which with the pass of time made a beautiful contrast with the lume patina.

 By: Subexplorer : November 18th, 2021-13:29
I hope the true blue color of the new MN21 is less brilliant than it looks in the advertising shots. Cabn´t wait to see it in the metal! Cheers! Abel

Same hopes, my friend.

 By: amanico : November 18th, 2021-15:15

Pleasure, my friend.

 By: amanico : November 19th, 2021-07:46

Now you know what to hunt! ;)

 By: amanico : November 24th, 2021-11:56

:)))

 By: Subexplorer : November 24th, 2021-13:34

Agreed!

 By: amanico : November 17th, 2021-06:07

Just got mine this morning

 By: NardinNut : November 17th, 2021-02:57
...

Wow, that was fast!

 By: amanico : November 17th, 2021-06:08

I agree!

 By: NardinNut : November 17th, 2021-13:46
Told my AD I was interested after the release and he called Monday saying he got one. I wasn’t sure about it (because of lug to lug) so he held it for me. Tried it on and loved it. The L2L is a non issue IMO. It’s misleading. The visual L2L is quite short...

Very happy for you.

 By: amanico : November 17th, 2021-16:05

Congrats!

 By: jonrus : November 17th, 2021-16:38
If it’s true that MN21 is - 150 pieces, a non limited release is really a small number! Very collectible!

Great to hear!

 By: blau : November 18th, 2021-11:40
I was hoping that the L2L measurement was misleading (like it is on my Panerai Submersible). Am VERY eager to get my hands on this one. Congratulations!

So different are the likings

 By: penfriend : November 19th, 2021-10:16
I had already contacted my AD but when I saw that it is not as vivid as in the press pictures I withdrew my order immediately ;-)

Ha ha ha!! Absolutely agree with you Penfriend. Preferences and tastes are different and a very personal matter. That´s why it is always so important to view a watch (or any other...

 By: Subexplorer : November 19th, 2021-12:59
... thing we intend to purchase) in the metal. And if possible to try it on the wrist as well. Have a nice weekend!! Best, Abel

Absolutely agree my dear friend!

 By: Subexplorer : November 20th, 2021-15:28

Thanks for your feedback, I.

 By: amanico : November 19th, 2021-17:14

I like it

 By: aperna : November 19th, 2021-15:15

At the point to get it?

 By: amanico : November 19th, 2021-17:14

Some smaller AD has not received their one allocation yet.

 By: jonrus : November 22nd, 2021-12:12
Good to know. There’s still hope for the MN 21.

Great, my friend. Congrats!
