Rolex

I was so pleased to add this piece during 2016. I absolutely love the mesmerising dial and the weight in my hand....  

i tried it on several times but did not pull the trgger. perhaps one day........

From the first time I tried on (2013 I think) but it wasn't until 2016 that I got the unshakable urge to buy it.

I bought it and sold it. Just could not warm up to the brown and glacier color combination. Probably my loss...

then it's not a loss - lots of other beautiful watches out there!

I've liked it since I first saw its combination of rich browns and cool blues. Also, I had a hands-on opportunity the other day to fall back in love (you're right about the sheer mass of the thing!). I think this is one that we'll appreciate more with tim... 

When I first saw the Rolex press shots I was stunned they would produce something so ugly. It wasn't until the wrist shots started coming through and I had my first face-to-face with it that I fell in love!

I gave mine to my wife and was promptly accused of trying to dislocate her shoulder... On the other hand, it is a very handy self-defense tool.

Definitely do some damage if you started swinging this thing!

Or break someone\'s jaw.

It is an interesting watch, just not for me. So, I gave it to the wife who loves it and it keeps her away from, say, the 5370.

Hold the watch in my hand. I wear my watches with minimal slack so the weight on the wrist makes no real difference to me.

You'll see i hadn't taken the stickers off... ...  

The heft is also amazing especially when you someone asks you to take it off and hand it over

I've seen it a few times and I can't get over the weight of it....gorgeous piece and much better looking in the flesh than any pic can do. Huge congrats, Andy.

Feels like no other on the wrist and color combo is amazing. It even has a vintage sort of look to it (along the lines of the silver dial 6263). Craftsmanship of the case and bracelet are perfection. And of course there is the other worldly weight it has.... 

That negroni. Yum.
