That's a beauty. 39mm is perfect. I don't know what Rolex were thinking.

If next year the explorer 1 also bumped to 41 mm and they don't release the 36mm version, i'm done with this brand, and would enjoy my 114270 and datejust 36mm for a long , long time...

That is my thinking also. I think they will reserve 39 mm exclusively for Explorer 1 and maybe Millgaus.

I went to 4 ADs last week and none has oyster perpetual! This is the first time I encounter Rolex AD solely displaying Datejust model only. Now I know why.

I am a bit baffled. The OP39 in either white or black dial were as close to perfection than I can think of, and two of my favorite models in the entire Rolex line. Sad to see them go.
