A 38 or 39 mm Date or Air King

Mar 07, 2014,18:00 PM

The Date and Air King have traditionally been 2 mm smaller than the Datejust.  We have the DJ2 that is too large for some, but it is a big jump from a 34 mm Air King or Date to a 41 mm DJ2.  I would love to see a 38 or 39 mm dress watch.

 By: gensiulia : March 2nd, 2014-15:11
...would be my dream. I'll tell you, facing reality, a 40mm case ala submariner 116610 with no loupe, of course. more: domed sapphire crystal in the vein of DSSD, no ring lock system, HEV, and a SS caseback as usual. No Deep Sea writing, trying to separat...

A SS Daytona with a black bezel. And **NO** PCLs!!! That would be great to see. I think that is a possibility sometime in the next 5-10 yrs, though I think PCLs are here to stay. I agree that a 40mm SD would be great to see, but I just don't think it is g...

Bring back the feeling of the old days. I just hope they don't go down the path of the fake vintage / hommage style. But I am sure with Rolex keeping the classic lines will alsways be there. Yes please a SS Daytona up to date would be nice in all its glor...

I hope the general direction is to return to basics

The current one is too thin. It makes the watch look out of balance. Regard Tyler

34mm and 36mm are no longer in play. 38-39mm that is the sweet spot. Even 40mm works as long as the case is not too think. but.... fashion....Rolex is ... not going to say it but I hope tradition will prevail. Bill
