~ 5 years of ownership ...

with this one, and still I like it a lot!!!

It may sound crazy, but I have compared this watch with other watches,  including Langes and Pateks, that are roughly in the same price bracket. However, I cannot say that those watches are clear winner for me compared to this one. They certainly offer something that this one doesn't offer, but at the same time this one offers other things that they don't. smile

5 years of ownership has given me ample opportunity to examine this watch under many different circumstances ... it is amazing to me how much thought Rolex put in this reference. There are quite a few details about this watch that Rolex doesn't even advertise. It is sad to see that it is not appreciated for what it offers , but for me, I am VERY HAPPY with it and I think this is a lifelong keeper!

Out of curiosity

I have not seen any mention of the Rolex Sky Dweller in my short time on this forum. I think it is a really great looking watch. Certainly is not subtle, but I really like it. I am not in the market for one anymore, but for a while it was in the running (...

I like the watch, but IT IS the high price point that scares me off.

I actually bought another watch with a 24 hr hand that I enjoy. Does it match the Sky Dweller? Absolutely not but I enjoy it and it gets worn a few times a month in my rotation.. I have 2 Rolex already and really didn't want a 3rd anyway.

You are right....

It doesn't seem to be that popular here. For me, at that price point there are plenty of other watches I would be inclined towards. Also, the fluted bezel is something that often polarises people. I have none in my collection....so never even get to the p...

For me it was a matter of not being proportional.

I think whenever Rolex goes beyond 40mm, it gets real tricky and hard to get it right. Sometimes I get the feeling that I'm looking at 2 dials, one superimposed on top of the other (Rolex tried to fix this problem with the newer dial). I briefly thought a...

Several of us own it. Now, it is a big watch, quite high in price, even if it is justified by its complication(s), and the fluted bezel may not be everybody's taste. But it is a very good watch! And such an UnRolex Rolex, too! Best, Nicolas ...

Sorry I don’t agree

I think the Sky-Dweller, especially with the blue dial, is a bargain. Take a look at the new SS Moser (sports watch) for $15,500, no complications compared to the annual calendar/dual time Rolex with a white gold fluted bezel. The Sky-Dweller is thinner, ...

It’s a bargain on paper

Try to find a blue dial skydweller for msrp. It’s not a thing. Kind of sucks but that’s the reality.

I like it

But I don’t see a point waiting for it or paying double MSRP for the SS models. I think the datejust II has the same look minus the complex annual cal. The gold one... forget it I think there are much cooler watches out there for that price.

The PM Skydweller is a very nice watch but heavy on my wrist especially the bracelet ones.

 By: Greenwatch : March 15th, 2019-04:17
On the leather strap, it sits a bit like “falling off my wrist” when I was previously trying it on my AD. But the SS blue dial Skydweller and even the black one are so much better on my wrist, a bit larger, but the weight is manageable. I had the opportun...
