The fine Chronograph search is over (for now), I ended up acquiring an unexpected RD Hommage from a collector friend...

For quite sometime I’ve been trying to add a fine manual wind Chronograph in my humble collection. 5070? Too expensive. Datograph 1st gen? Still too expensive and too large for my tiny wrist. UN monopusher? I want a see through case back!!

And by chance I came across this RD Hommage in 34mm in rosegold. Perfect size for my wrist, beautiful modified Lemania movement, Geneva seal standard, great dial design (to me) with just right number of colour and it’s one of the first pieces made by Mr Dubuis. And it is way less expensive than I thought! Thank you for a collector fellow who was willing to sell this to me.

Allow me to share some poor photos with you!

I am hoping for a minor miracle as I have made a request to Patek to remove the diamonds from their new ladies chronograph. I expect Patek to say no after rolling around in laughter! 38mm of bliss with a superb movement! ...

I need you to get a top job at Patek asap!!! :-)

Thank you my friend.

Change to a black strap...

With black strap for a man, or brown for woman, you can rock that. Plus with diamonds you don't have to worry about a scratched bezel as much. Of course the RD movement is better/decorated imho.

Fabulous !

keep enjoying it and try a different colour strap like dark blue.

That what I did for my 5110R!

I did not know these Dubuis homage came in 34mm. I have only seen them in 37 and 40mm. I am a big fan of 34mm. A truly under appreciated line. It reminds me of the VC 47101 but with more charm.

Love it...such a well-designed watch.

Classicism with a few subtle playful elements. Lots of details on this one from the bi-color lume to the engraved pushers...and more. RD is always good with the small details that add real interest and design depth to its pieces. I think you deserve a bot...

It's an absolutely gorgeous watch and tremendous value-for-money!

I just became aware of this beautiful reference and I love it! All the fine details, it is what Patek, AP, Vacheron, Omega and Longines should be doing more today. It reminds me of the 1463, one of my all time favorites. The case, the pushers, the dial. A...
