I was the most boring and conservative person there!
Nov 20, 2018,01:18 AM
Everyone in attendance was "filled with personality" and almost all were well versed in watches. One of the guests, a lady, who owns over a dozen watches (among many other things) actually described a Patek Philippe as "boring" and "you see them everywhere" despite owning "several of them" found Roger Dubuis timepieces to be interesting.
The gentleman who liked the avocado toast (and also likes tattoos) was eyeing my avocado toast with sriracha sauce (just a little bit, came pre-made with the sauce) while we were waiting for the shuttle to take us to the race track.

It's really bad to see the time in the photos; it's a bit better in person. The case and crown design is actually very pleasing. I really like Riddler's new Roger Dubuis in gold. It's a very nice design. Beautiful people, beautiful cars, and very nice wat...

I've often driven extremely impressive road cars. BUT, I've never driven a true race car. That was an experience. Brakes were cold when I got the car, tires were cold, I could tell. Brake pedal also had very little travel. An incredible and memorable expe...

Roger dubuis is a brand I am watching closely. Hope to own one some day. I think it is growing on me a lot. Just waiting for a slightly more entry level sports series from them. Ps: on a side note, just wondering why this is under Horological meandering n...

That's a good question; this post really does belong in the RD forum. It also belongs in a way to the Automotive forum too since cars are mentioned. I will transition it to the Roger Dubuis forum!
the quest for a new RD DNA takes time.

and the history of watch/automotive brand partnership has been littered with failures, thus the natural skepticism of collectors. I actually quite like the new RDs, though the old Sympathies have a place in heart. Being a Lamboghini owner, to be frank, th...

It's coming soon! It will cost less. And it will be automatic, not manual wind.
Very good!

Yes, that was the new one.
RD color scheme

The black, blue and orange work well together. Definitely for those that want a bit more spice than an AP or Patek.
Stupendous pics!!!

Thanks so much for sharing! That Gehry building is out of this world and that final Lambo/ RD wrist shot blew me away. Me wants one ASAP (watch not car)
My pleasure! Thanks for commenting!

The watches are definitely cool. It's really an excellent combination of new-age technology and traditional craftsmanship. Think this; carbon fiber bridges, but with a Geneva Seal. That's pretty special.
