The alpine eagle chrono has good reason to be sized at 43 (if I recall correctly.)
The excaliber looks great, more so with bracelet!
The bucherer flyback I am less familiar with, but of course a larger dial has more room for the tachymeter, subdials and other print. Enjoy

I think a luminor is appropriate at 44 or 47mm.
The case / dial proportions work differently, but both diameters look good.
My largest is the Izul at 51mm
But the fact that it’s lugless, made out of titanium and has a curved case back all help 😊👍🏻 ...
And here I thought your original Chopard 8hf was a big watch

As the case is fully rotatable - depending on what you use it for the pushers can be either at the bottom or the top 😊👍🏻 The Chopard LUC 8HF is quite a bit smaller 😊 ...

I am a fan. Not so much of the newer DLC 8hf with a power reserve (& concave bezel), or the alpine eagle 8hf, but this bi-material 8hf (& convex bezel). Great piece.

48mm but light in Ti and with a beefy rubber strap 46mm with curved case back and ratched spring bars 44mm with articulating lugs ...

And for me would be a perfect size as I regularly wear a 47mm Panerai, but, have had the pleasure of the Egiziano which was challenging! Also the Deepsea Challenge which i was surprised wore as well as it did. ...

Does the cutout not show the running seconds from the middle
I fail to understand why Zenith would not make more (design renditions, sales, matching cases, etc.) with the El Primero movement...
No it doesn’t….
More towards the bottom middle (6 position) of the cutout so its aligned with the hour mark at 9. If you zoom in you can see it.
