is a very smart setup, IMO.  Since there is an hour and a minute hand, you can glance at it and tell how many hours and minutes have elapsed just like reading a regular clock display.   Most chronographs have separate minute and hour subdials and you have to look twice to see the elapsed time since you pressed the start button.
Does anyone know of any other chronograph that has this function? 
The countdown timer is not so shabby either.  I wonder if one can set how many minutes to start counting down?  If not, then it would only be useful to countdown 1 hour events.
