The Richard Mille RM014-PN: the first of a new series of RM watches.
So why do I think that the RM014 is the ultimate representation of a luxury sports watch? For a short while at the Perini Navi Cup, the RM014 was mine! I have to say that despite my doubts on first seeing the piece, wearing it and examining the finish and detailing of the watch, it was a struggle to take it off and give it back. Perhaps because of the different surface finishing (carbon nanofibre, polishing, PVD treatment), the three-dimensional aspect to the movement construction was more apparent (than the RM002-V2) and the movement elements more immediately visible to the eye. On so many levels it truly is an astounding piece.
I tried to capture some of these elements in the RM014 in the early morning sun:
