I own RM055, RM030, RM52-01, RM63-01, RM016, RM11 and RM33 .. in all honesty, I love the RM005 as a daily watch. I am currently seeking for a RM002 or RM003 ie similar size as the 005.
I love smaller watches lately.. they are so easy to wear and no hassle..
Many ppl don’t realise the RM005 is only 11.5mm thickness which is thinner than Rolex DD40 and DJ41 .. that’s a very low profile for a sport watch especially for a RM.
Personally I use my watch a lot in the kitchen and in the pool/beach , I need all watches to have strong water resistance. However I find the RM030 to be uncomfortable for me much due to the height. One thing I can’t understand is why RM don’t increase the WR of their watches? It is very obvious RM can easily make a higher water resistance watch without having a thick profile.
RM030 I measured is almost 14mm only has 50m water resistance while the RM005 is 22% thinner yet it has double the WR.
2 to 3 mm doesn’t sounds like much but when it is on my wrist it is a huge differences because of my smaller wrist.
I used to own RM010 but I sold it after I found a perfect RM005.
The smaller case single digit RMs are such classic nowadays.. I got so much compliments from both WIS and nonWIS .. it looks exquisitely luxurious and fun without going over the top.

Jen, this is an amazing looking RM and I agree with you the case shape and design are quite beautiful...a true classic
I think Hublot tried to imitate this case design if I am not mistaking (the spirit of big bang?) but this RM will stand the test of time!

Hublot have with the spirit of big bang a RM wannabe. My complain about Hublot are the busy dials, searching hands is annoying. Look at a RM, it’s always no problem to see the time at a glance.

The size (relative thinness too) is the reason I always like the older RMs.
These days the 67-02 is appealing to be precisely for that same reason, the size. And the case material and lightness of this reference too. But your 005 is a classic, enjoy it.

The WR on certain references doesn't make a lot of sense, you have a perfect example here of a great daily piece. I'd love to see a photo of your 052-01, I have tried to track one down for a colleague won had his eye on the reference but they are hard to ...
