I suspect what you've observed can be better explained by the
psychological profile of the owner and not by the nature of RM
watches in particular. You see this behavior with lots of other
brands, not just RM. My suspicion is that such people are missing
something in life that they think some watch will fill. But, they never
seem to find that watch that gives them the lasting happiness they
lack. So, after a few weeks, the watch that gave them initial
happiness, no longer satisfies them, so they sell it at a tremendous
loss.
