The Polo S at SIHH 2018

Now that VC are taking some heat for going downmarket a look back at a similar move proves (to me) that this is a very good looking watch, despite some comparisons, of which I personally don't buy into or really mind. Having seen it in person it the likeness to the nautilus dial really isn't that obvious, nor is the case shape, it is a round watch with a cushion opening. This is the watch they should have opened with, strap only. The first effort either should have had a fully integrated, tapered bracelet with a characteristic link design they could own or no bracelet at all. I think it's a great piece, well designed, something different and in the right area price wise.

I understand that Piaget needs to think about addressing a new audience but am not sure to what extent the Polo S has been a success in that sense. Having tried it there was nothing inherently wrong with it but also nothing very Piaget about it. And I did...
