Photo Experts, I have a question

Looking back through my files today I came across a blue image. Could my camera have freaked out? Or could it be possible that it captured such an intense image? I don't have the shot preceding this one Here's the data my Aperture screen shows for that ph...

but I suspect their OS is from Japan not Redmond. I do get the inference though...

Sony is a consumer electronics company so a failure like this does not surprise me...

I have never seen this using Canon, Hasselblad, Casio, nor Fuji digital cameras and not heard of a similar situation from any photographers. It could have been a failure to write (i.e. a disk/media problem) or a camera driver issue... Maybe try to downloa... 

Normally, I'd say it was a genuine photo, BUT...

(Friendly humor) I had that exact same thing happen to me. A few minutes passed between frames just like yours. It's like time never happened! The only solution to this mystery was.... ...
