Long time I did not post portrait photos... Please vote for one of the two and comment the reason of your choice ...  

Because i like the contrast given by the b/w in this particular situation. I feel the color one is less attractive, less eye catching. HAGWE Fabio

i like that it is tonal. No one colour dominates, they blend superbly. However I find the door handle (?) in the bottom left distracting. Can you crop this or do you prefer it this way? Either way, nice photos!

Of course I could have cropped it or edit and remove the window handle but indeed I like it as is (I'll make a try without it to see )

Always details and personal preference... The ear in the first is a little distracting, but I prefer the expression vis-à-vis the style of portrait. So for me the b&w would be the choice... maybe the 'model' prefers colour ; ) Casey .

But now I can see only that, I could/should have edited to show it less... but yes I love her expression too on this one...

The expression, the moment, the detail fixture of the model. Just completely intriguing

The model's expression is mysterious. The viewer does not know what or who she is thinking about. In the color photo her mood is more obvious.

i like BW pics...it is nostalgic, captures well the essence of the moment & most of all...timeless ! i wouldn't be kidding myself giving a technical feedback on the pic ;-) you know better !! and i almost forgot the most important reason...she shows o...

Score is 7 for bw vs 2 for colour so far...

I think the model is more natural there, and there is “flow” in the photo

The bw version definitely has a lot of success... 8 - 2 so far

But not so much for the B&W vs color. It has more to do with composition and lighting. The eye is drawn to the face, jawline, nose and lock of hair. Then the arm and clenched hand provide balance. The color photo is good, but lacks the better composit...

I was not sure how to choose between the two original shots but that problem has beed sidelined. How to choose between these two-there goes the rest of my day!

light play on her pretty face, I chose the color one as the gradation from bright to dark play very well here.

I am glad you choose the colour one for more balancing the score as I like both actually. 11 - 4 now

having said that, both photos are beautiful!

11 to 5 now we are getting close to the two third / one third result I was expecting

I would have preferred better details. For example, the drapes as it bridges between the two contrasting extremes. Just my opinion though... Beautiful and simplistic composition thus highlighting the subject. Owh... beautiful subject too!!!

For me, the color version appears much more lively, real, less idealised than the b/w pic and much more ... human!

I tend to agree that the b/w is more artistic, and the color version is more natural or more human. Depending on your preference for more artistic or more natural approach the choice differs... Final score so far b/w 13 to color 7
