IMHO the 1920s Imperial Tokyo is one of the best hotel design of all time. I wish I can time travel πŸ˜‰.
It has been my favorite Tokyo hotel since the first time I visited Japan.

the Henri Cartier-Bresson of architecture... his work is best photographed in b&w FLW designed 14 buildings for Japan, six were built: the Imperial Hotel and Annex, the Jiyu Gakuen School, the Aisaku Hayashi House, the Arinobu Fukuhara House and the Tazae...

a large number of his creations, including Unity Temple we see here. Chicago was also home to Schwinn, and touring Oak Park on a Schwinn bicycle is a cool way to see some brilliant architecture.

My 2 personal favorite would be Furbeck and Moore house. IMHO San Francisco, Chicago and New Orleans have the most gorgeous architectural beauties and rich characters

Oak Park is very close by to see FLW’s work. Taliesin East in Wisconsin is a couple of hours away and well worth a visit to get more context. And if the idea of using materials to hand appeals, then Taliesin West is worth it to show what you can accomplis...
